St. Regis Falls - Agatha M. Parker, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and compassionate caregiver, left this world peacefully on February 13, 2026, at the age of 87, surrounded by her family. Born on August 23, 1938, in St. Regis Falls, the daughter of the late Oscar G. and Barbara (Haynes) Goodrow, Agatha lived her life with an unwavering spirit and an abundance of love for her family and community. After her attendance at St. Regis Falls schools, she received a blessed union in her marriage to Ronald Fefee on October 11, 1954, sharing their love and the blessing of her three sons. Ronald unexpectedly died on October 12, 1979. Her heart was filled again when she met Mack Parker and they were married on November 20, 1982. They complimented each other's ability and had a fun life together until his untimely passing on May 6, 2010.
For over 25 years, Agatha served as a nurse's aide at the Franklin County Nursing Home, (also known as William Mansion). Her dedication to caring for others was evident in every relationship she built with those she served. Balancing her commitment to the nursing home and family life, Agatha also found time to sell Avon, a testament to her tireless work ethic. She effortlessly juggled her responsibilities, waking early to send her sons-Rodney "Skip", Ronald, Jr., and Robin-off to school before tending to her Avon customers and welcoming them home with open arms.
A faithful communicant of St. Ann's Church in St. Regis Falls, Agatha lived her faith daily, extending her caring heart beyond her family to anyone in need. She was also a loving sister, providing care and support for her siblings, James and Helen, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to family.
Agatha found immense joy in the simplicity of life. Whether she was tending to her vibrant garden, known for its stunning dahlias and roses, mowing her lawn while donning her signature big straw hat, or enjoying time with her grandchildren on ice cream outings, she cherished the little moments. Holiday celebrations were particularly special, with Christmas serving as a highlight of the year. Her beautifully decorated home often earned her awards for her artistic efforts, most notably her prized decorated "Little Bill" tree, which showcased her creativity and passion for festive decor.
Agatha's legacy is one of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. She will be profoundly missed by her sons, grandchildren, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her sons; Rodney (Skip) and Kim Fefee, Ronald (Jr.) and Claudette Fefee, and Robin Fefee and Ellen Planty, her grandchildren; Rodney (Rusty) and Amy Fefee, Christine Fefee and Joseph Cormier, Brandon and Tesa Fefee, her great grandchildren, Christopher Fefee, Samantha and Joshua Whitehead, Easton Fefee, Harmony Fefee, Riley Thompson, Westin and Bennett Fefee, a step-great grandson Alex Fountain, her great-great-grandchildren; Sophia and Olivia Whitehead, her dear friend Richard Kelley, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings; Helen Chambers, Eleanor Mallette, Howard Goodrow, James Goodrow, and Donald Goodrow.
Visitation will be held in her honor, at Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls, on Saturday February 28th from 12 to 2 pm, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and share cherished memories. Closing prayers will be held at 2 pm, which will reflect Agatha's loving spirit and the profound impact she had on those around her.
Agatha will be laid to rest at Sand Hill Cemetery on County Route 5 in Dickinson Center, with a spring burial.
