Brasher – Mr. Albert E. "Mike" Sova, 85, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by the comfort and companionship of his family and friends. First working at ALCOA, he then assisted in the building of the St. Lawrence Seaway, next he held a position with the State Highway Department, and then eventually took over his family farm; all while working construction for himself. Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his boys. He adored his grandchildren and loved spending time teaching them how to do all kinds of things. He also had a love for animals, particularly horses. Whether you knew him as "Mike" "Gramps" or "Boots", he was the same genuine man with a friendly spirit and contagious smile. Mike was predeceased by, his son in infancy, Michael, sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Clifford Newtown, and 3 brothers: Glen "Pat", Joseph, and Robert Sova. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8pm, and Saturday from 9-10am at the funeral home.
