Ardis L. White

St. Regis Falls - Ardis L. White, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, departed this life in her home at St. Regis Falls, NY, on February 17, 2026, just one day shy of her 88th birthday. Born on February 18, 1938, in Pyrites, NY, she is the daughter of the late Beatrice Foster Harmer and her stepfather, Leo Harmer. Ardis led a life filled with simple joys and heartfelt connections. She married Gordon White on August 19, 1956, at the Methodist parsonage in Gouverneur, NY.

Ardis was a resolute and dedicated individual, known for her warm spirit and unwavering kindness. A devoted maid in the private resort industry in Scottsdale, AZ, she found beauty in her work and imparted her caring nature to everyone who crossed her path. She followed her spiritual needs at the Lawrenceville Baptist Chapel.Ardis is survived by her loving husband, Gordon White, her children, Katherine "Kathy" Gagnon, Peter White, Michael White, Doris "Dot" White, and Stephen White. 14 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was predeceased by a infant son, Courtney White, a granddaughter, Heather, her siblings, Dale Harmer, Sr., Roger Harmer, Sr., Ronald "Ronnie" Harmer, Sr. and Theresa "Terry" Hayes.

The family will be holding a celebration of Ardis's life at Lawrenceville Baptist Chapel, 1086 County Route 54, Lawrenceville, NY 12949, on Saturday, February 28th at 11 am,followed by a fellowship luncheon , where all who knew her are welcomed to join in honoring her life and legacy. Everyone is encouraged to come together to share their stories and memories of Ardis, celebrating the light she brought to our lives.Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls, where memories and condolences can be shared online at www.hammillfh.com.
