Daniel S. Crump

Brasher Falls - We are sad to announce the unexpected passing of Daniel S. Crump, who left us on November 2, 2025, at the age of 40. He was born on June 1, 1985, in Massena, son of the late Gary P. and Beth Ann (Johnson) Crump. Daniel was a cherished husband to his beloved wife, Sarah (Burnell)Crump, whom he married on October 20, 2012. They called Brasher Falls, their home, where he lived life to the fullest and brought joy to those around him. He loved and adored is fur babies Loki, CoCo, Zig and Zag, Smoke, Teddy, Captain and Mary.

He had worked for PACES at SUNY Potsdam. He enjoyed cooking, barbquing, gardening, animals, the river, fishing, staying in the cabin at the pond, drawing and raising a little hell sometimes. Daniel was known for his kind spirit and his ability to connect with people. Those who knew him will remember his laughter, warmth, and love for life. He leaves behind many fond memories for his family and friends to cherish.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah, his siblings, Jennifer and Jason Bruette of North Lawrence, Andrew and Maranda Crump of Winthrop and Matthew Settle of New Jersey, his grandmother, Gloria Johnson of North Lawrence, his father in law, Thomas Burnell of Brasher, his brothers and sisters in law, Thomas and Renee Burnell of North Lawrence and Greg and Emily McDowell of Maine, nieces and nephews, Jasmine, Leah, Paige, and Lawson Bruette, Andrew Jr., Chloe and Nathan Crump, Dominick, Dalton and Denver Burnell, Lele and Dustin McDowell. He was predeceased by his parents, a sister, Jessica Crump, his mother in law, Sandra Burnell, his grandfather, Norman Johnson.

Visitation will be held on November 7, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 8 :00 pm at Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.
