David DeShaw

Hopkinton - David L. DeShaw, 63, passed away on Monday, October 23,

2023, at his home under the care of his family and Hospice. In keeping with David's wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. A celebration of life will be held at Fourth Coast Cafe, Massena on November 18, 2023 from 1 to 4 pm.

David was born on November 11, 1959, in Potsdam, son of the late Garland Dale and Linda Mae (Duby) DeShaw. He graduated from St. Regis Falls High School. On July 1, 1978, he married Kelly Jo. Gibson at the Parishville United Methodist Church. They shared a loving union for 45 years.

He was a truck driver working for various companies and found his place with Danko Construction for 18 years until he retired. He enjoyed camping with family and friends, riding his motorcycle and riding the trails on his Rhino or 4-wheeler. Having coffee with friends and sharing his "gift of gab" was his absolute favorite past time and spending time with his family.

David is survived by his wife, Kelly, their two children, Tabitha and Paul Savage of North Lawrence and Matthew and Lindsay DeShaw of Hopkinton, his grandchildren, Alexys Savage, Ayden Savage, Blake DeShaw, Kylee DeShaw, and Karson DeShaw, his two brothers, Kenneth and Tammy DeShaw of Hopkinton and Timothy and Michelle DeShaw of North

Lawrence, his mother-in-law, Sally Gibson, Sister in law Kay Gibson, Brother in law Gerald Gibson, Jr & Lori Michaud, Sister in law Cindy & Burton Chevier II. As well as many nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to all the care givers that helped us thru the last 3 years.
