Dolan E. Daggett

Winthrop – Dolan E. Daggett, 77, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 10, 2014 at CVPH in Plattsburgh, with his family at his bedside. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Dolan was born on April 14, 1937 in Massena, son of the late Fayette and Edna (Fetterly) Daggett, Sr. He honorably served his country in the U. S. Air Force from 1955 to 1959. On August 10, 1957, he married Reta M. McKizer at St. John's Episcopal Church in Massena. On Sunday, they were able to share their 57th anniversary together with their family. He was retired from General Motors in Massena, where he worked as a Job Setter. Dolan enjoyed hunting and fishing, music and any time he was together with his family. Dolan is survived by his wife, Reta; four children, Julie and Vernon Gray of Massena, Susan Jones of Winthrop, Jay and Tammy Daggett of Dickinson Center and Jody Daggett of Massena; one brother, Keith and Jeannie Daggett of Massena; seven grandchildren, Ashley Snyder, Brianna Jones, Chantelle Jones, Alyssa Daggett, Tyler Daggett, Dolan Daggett and Brittany Sims; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, George, James and Fayette, Jr. and one sister, Doris LaComb. Following his wishes; all services will be private and at his family's convenience.
