It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald L. Love Jr., a much-loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Donald peacefully departed this world on February 13, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was 66 years old.

Born on August 13, 1957, in Massena, New York, Donald was the son of the late Donald L. Love Sr. and Geraldine McGregor. He attended Massena high school and graduated from Turkey Foot Valley high school in Pennsylvania. After graduation he served his country with distinction in the US ARMY Reserves earning an honorable discharge.

Don's commitment to excellence led him to pursue a career as an electrician. He went on to become a valued member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 910. The electrical industry found in Donald a skilled professional, and he served his career for many years with utmost dedication and integrity.

In addition to his professional achievements, Donnie had a deep love for his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Rebecca (Weinrich) Love, whom he married on June 27, 1982, at the Sacred Heart Church in Massena. Together they shared countless cherished memories, and they raised their children, Harmony, and Joshua, instilling in them the values of love, compassion, and hard work.

Donald derived immense joy from being a grandfather. He adored his grandchildren and found solace in their playful laughter and innocent love.

Outside of his professional and family life, Don found solace in nature as he was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He will be greatly missed by his family; his wife Rebecca; daughter Harmony Love and her companion Miguel Guzman of Massena, and son Joshua H. Love and his companion Bonnie Jean LaPradd of Stockholm; 5 grandchildren, Ryland, Cheyenne, Kelsey, Gunner and Audrey Love; mother-in-law Elli Weinrich; siblings, Virgil (Linda) Love, Cathy (Kevin) Coughenour, Tina (Brian) Hatch, Clarence (JulieAnne) Kingston Jr; aunt Ida McGregor; his beloved Murphy family; several nieces, nephews, many cousins and his feline companion Chili Pepper.
