Donna G. Sweet

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Donna G. Sweet, who left this world on August 10, 2025. Born on September 2, 1961, in Cherry Point, NC, she is the daughter of the late Donald E. and Janet H. (Wilson) Farmer. She married Jeffrey J. Sweet on April 18, 1981 at the Church of the Holy Cross in Hopkinton. They shared a union filled with love and the blessing of three sons, until Jeffrey passed away in 2000. Donna was a radiant soul who touched many lives with her warmth and kindness.

Donna's spirit will forever shine through her cherished family. She was a proud mother of her sons, Joey and his wife, Angela Sweet and Justin and his wife, Brooke Sweet, who carry her legacy in all they do. Donna was also a devoted grandmother, leaving behind her precious grandchildren-Jace, Audrey Ann (AJ), Josie, Zaylee, Lillee, and Kylee. She is survived by her beloved sister, Kelly Provost, and her brothers, James Farmer and Richard and Janice Ploof, nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends. Each of them holds a piece of her heart, and she will live on in their laughter and love. She was predeceased by her husband, Jeffrey on September 29, 2000, her son, Jesse "Gump" on April 4, 2009 and her companion, Dale Arquiett on June 25, 2009.

As we gather to celebrate Donna's life, we invite family and friends to share in the warmth of remembrance at a Celebration of Life Gathering at the Nicholville Fire Department on Friday, August 15th at 4 pm. This will be a time to share stories, reminisce about the joy she brought to our lives, and to embrace the love that binds us all together.

Let us remember Donna not with tears, but with smiles, as we honor her beautiful journey and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. She may have departed from this earthly plane, but the love she spread will endure, like the light of a candle flickering in the night.
