North Lawrence - Edward W. Rose, 68, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025, at RR-Canton Potsdam Hospital with his family at his bedside. Following his wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.

Ed was born on January 30, 1957, in Buffalo, son of the late Otis and Una Lorraine (Toussaint) Rose. He served his country in the National Guard. A marriage to his first wife, Kathey Rose (of Temple, TX), blessed him with two children, Kari and Edward, Jr. He married Diane M. Crinklaw/Joannette on February 14, 1997, in the Town of Lawrence with Justice James McCuin.

He was a hard worker, as a roughneck in the oil industry, an oil field service representative with Bill Hennig, drove truck for Pepsi, Wheaton Van Lines, and Swift, and was a welder for TwinCo. He lived his life for the love of his family and his faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, canning and riding his Harley Davidson.

He is survived by his wife, Diane, his children, Kari and Jason Mellor of Temple, TX, Jason and Emily Crinklaw of North Lawrence, Tyler Nephew and his fiancé, Caryn Busha of West Chazy, Brandon and Lizzy Crinklaw of Massena, grandchildren, Nicholas Edward Michael Mellor, JoLene Monica Leah Mellor, Destiny Rose Lynn Mellor, Anthony Andrew, Chloe Crinklaw, Callen Crinklaw, Brantley Pearce, Cason Nephew, Peyton Nephew, Raelyn Nephew, Cordelia Crinklaw, Persephone Crinklaw, Lusenna Crinklaw, and Isadora Crinklaw, siblings, Henry Rose of Alabama, Linda of Kentucky, Judy Freeman of Texas, Una & Dave Ornce of Texas, and Flora & Mark Philippi. Edward was predeceased by his son, Edward Wayne Rose, Jr. in 2008 and a brother, Otis Rose, Jr.

His family wishes to thank the nurses and staff on the 3rd floor of Canton Potsdam Hospital for their compassionate commitment to Ed's care and our wellbeing.
