She worked throughout the years; at St. Patrick School in the cafeteria and then she went to the St. Regis Nursing Home. She first worked as a nurse's aide then became a physical therapy aide. Bette looked forward to all family gatherings, especially watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her constant joy is her children, through the good times and difficult, they gave her strength, and were the one's she would instigate water fights with.
