Eunice C. Shippee

Eunice C. Shippee of Winthrop NY passed away on January 11, 2026, at the age of 76.

Eunice was a compassionate loving soul. She loved deeply and was a proud "Hippie", a champion of inclusion, personal and civil rights and compassion for her fellow human beings.

Eunice loved her family expressing herself through music, theater, travel and alien communication. Eunice was deeply spiritual and loved traveling the world, seeing different cultures and views and spreading her message of love and unconditional forgiveness. She loved the message of the Bible, believing in redemption, the Golden Rule and love of Jesus. Eunice loved to bring her family together with games, philosophy, movies and arguments about Ancient Aliens.

She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Carmody of Chesapeake VA, son, Eric and Kathryn Shippee of Shackleford VA, son, Fred and Diana Shippee of Pembroke VA , son Joe and Geill Shippee of Winthrop NY and her beloved dog, Pie. Eunice is survived by her 13 grandchildren, Alex, Allison, Noah, Melody, Olivia, Aidan, Emily, Elizabeth, Harold, Marcus, Benjamin, Sophia and Victoria. Eunice also leaves behind her sisters Belle, Betty and Christine, numerous nieces and nephews, friends and her beloved church family.

Eunice was a once-in-a-lifetime soul. She shined brightly and brought unconditional love and light (and a little bit of chaos) to everyone she touched. She will dearly missed.

The viewing and service for Eunice will be held at Emmanuel Congregational Church of Christ, 39 W. Orvis St., Massena, on Friday, Jan. 16th from 11 am until 12:30 pm with the funeral to start at 1 pm. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop, where memories and condolences can be shared with her family at www.hammillfh.com.
