Helen A. Hart

Helen Anne (Burdo) Hart, age 76, of St. Regis Falls, New York, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by family, on February 14, 2026. Helen was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt.

Helen was born on July 27, 1949, to Harold A. Burdo and Anne R. (Mayville) Burdo, in Malone, New York. Helen graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1967, where she earned a Regents diploma and received a Regents Scholarship. Helen attended Alfred State College in 1967, where she majored in horticulture. Helen worked at True Stitch Shoe factory in Malone, New York for several years. Helen also worked as a front desk clerk for the Town and County Inn and the Adirondack Inn, both in Lake Placid, where she retired in 2015.

Helen is survived by her son David H. Hart and his wife Holly D. Hart of St. Regis Falls, New York, grandsons David James Hart, who attends Clarkson University for Business Administration and is enlisted in the Army ROTC, David Reilly Hart, who attends St. Regis Falls Central School and is enrolled in Health Occupations, grandson Austin Bombard of Lake Placid, sister Shirley and her husband Harold Clark of Hornell; nephew Andrew Clark of Hornell; niece Catherine (Clark) Adams of Avon; niece Angela Clark of Olathe, KS; great nephews Riley, Cole, and Owen Adams of Avon and Declan Higgins of Olathe, KS; and a great granddaughter Saige Bombard of Lake Placid. Helen is also survived by several cousins. Per Helen's request, no services will be held and she will be cremated.
