James L. Farmer

Winthrop - We are saddened to announce the passing of James L. Farmer, who left us on August 30, 2026, at the age of 58. James was born on January 9, 1958 in Camp Legume, NC, to the late Donald E. and Janet W. (Wilson) Farmer. He married Clare M. Sheehan at Niagara Falls on December 24, 2015. He was a truck driver for Kinney Drugs in Gouverneur, NY. Jim was a man of many passions, leaving a legacy defined by his love for the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and tinkering with auto repairs.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Clare Sheehan, and three daughters and six grandchildren, He also leaves behind his sister Kelly Provost, step-brother Richard Ploof, and his dear Aunt Ruth and Uncle Joe Martin, Joe and Steve, all of whom will cherish the countless memories they shared with him. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister Donna Sweet.

A graveside service will be at Mound Hill Cemetery in Nicholville, NY,on September 4th at 2:00 PM.
