Janine M. Murray

Massena – Janine M. Murray, 51, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015 at her home surrounded by the love of her family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Janine was born on September 24, 1963 in Massena, daughter of the late Ronald A. and Sharon (Rust) Lalonde. She graduated from St. Lawrence Central School in 1981. Throughout her life, Janine worked as a Home Health Aide for many people in the North Country. On December 20, 1995, she married Gregory D. Murray in North Lawrence; they loved each other, sharing meaningful memories that will last forever. She found gratification in providing a home for her family. Her love of antiques, gardening, bonfires in the backyard, crossword puzzles, reading, crocheting, along with her creative spirit was evident throughout her home and her life. Janine was proud of her children and grandchildren, and when she was able, she would be seen getting down and playing with them at their level. She was a wonderful friend, wife and mother, who loved celebrating special occasions and spending time with loved ones. She is survived by her husband, Greg, two children;, Danielle Murray of Raymondville and Cameron Murray of Winthrop, a step son, Dennis Murray of Brasher Falls, her siblings, Mark and Tricia of Winthrop, Cathy Shirey of Winthrop and Sandra Kirby and Paul White of Massena, four grandchildren; Kadence Murray, Conner Flannery, Gabriel Flannery and Roman Flannery, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, May 6th at 1 pm at St. Patrick Cemetery in Brasher Falls, with a Celebration of Life Gathering to follow.
