John J. Mintch Sr.

St. Regis Falls - John J. Mintch Sr., 77, left us peacefully on February 8, 2026, in his home. Born on October 26, 1948, in Milford, CT, John is the son of the late Lyman and Mary (Bradley) Mintch. He married Debra "Debbie" Durant on September 5, 1971 at Moira United Methodist Church. They were blessed with a union of of 54 years and three children.

John was a custodian at the Tru Stitch in Bombay, then also worked as a custodian at AMC in Saranac Lake and then worked at Papa Diary's Farm in Bangor.

John found joy in hunting, fishing, and camping. He had a soft spot for his outdoor hobbies and waterways, collecting tools, and enjoying the simple pleasures of nature with family and friends.

John is survived by his loving wife, Debra Mintch, his daughters, Tammie Gibson and Tracey Mintch, and his son, John Mintch Jr., six grandchildren, Kristin, Anthony, Brandon, Steven, Adam and Tori and many great grandchildren, and his step-sister, Beverly Boardway. He was predeceased by his brother, his sisters and a stepbrother and his parents.
