Brasher Falls – Lloyd W. Baxter, 75, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019 at CP Hospital in Potsdam, with his loving family by his side.
Born in Potsdam on December 14, 1943, Lloyd was the son of the late Elmer Leslie and Martha W. (Powell) Baxter. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Lloyd honorably served his country during the Vietnam Era, where he trained corpsmen in Rifle competition. He was an Electronics Technician, owning Baxter’s TV Service. He enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing and camping. Through the years he cherished the time spent traveling with family. He found spiritual guidance through the fellowship at Life in Arms Community Church in North Lawrence.
Lloyd is survived by his companion, Elizabeth “Betty” Robar, step-children; Kimberly Ramey of SC, Becky Tessier of Massena and Richard Robar of WV, 10 grandchildren; Andrea Budd, Jason Budd, Elizabeth Bronson, Christopher Hotte, Morgan Wright, Joshua Wright, Madison Coller, Sabastian Robar, Ariel Robar and Cheyanne Robar, six great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Pauline Hotte.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 19th at 1 pm at Fairview Cemetery, 190 Minor Street Road, Canton. A celebration of life luncheon will be held at the "Life In His Arms" Community Church in North Lawrence following the grave side service. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.
