Lonna Burnett

Lonna Jean Burnett, 78, of Massena, NY, passed away on December 7, 2025. She was surrounded by family. Born on June 29, 1947 in Gouverneur, New York, she was the daughter of late Theodore and Ruth Burnett. Lonna will be remembered for the love she had for her family, friends and pets. Lonna was a caregiver for many years. She loved knowing that she was making a difference and providing the support for the people she took care of.

Lonna is survived by her children, Teri Paro-Boggs (James), Ruth Urbanik (Steven), and Helen Delf (Robert). She was predeceased by her two infant sons, Gary, Jr. and Tharon. Also surviving Lonna are grandchildren, Kiana, James Jr., Steven Jr., Kayla, Colton and Derek, great grandchildren, Dustin Jr., Kyla, RaeLynn, Theodore, Parker, Riley and Grayson, brothers, Timothy Burnett (Kelly), and Donald Burnett (Peggy). She was predeceased by her siblings, Janice LaRue (Timothy survives), Theodore James Burnett (Karen) and her twin brother Lonnie Burnett.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 18th from 1 to 3 pm at Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Graveside services will be in the spring at Hermon Cemetery.
