Lonnie Burnett

Lisbon - Lonnie L. Burnett, 77, peacefully passed away on Wednesday August 14, 2024 at the United Helpers Home in Lisbon.

Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 20th at 2:00 pm at Hermon Cemetery in Hermon, where he will be buried with his parents and family.

Lonnie was born in Gouverneur on June 29, 1947, to the late Theodore J. and Ruth G. (Blackmer) Burnett Sr.

Lonnie is survived by two sisters Janice (Timothy) LaRue of Pawling and Lonna Burnett of Norfolk; 2 brothers, Timothy (Kelly) Burnett of Norfolk and Donald and Peggysue Burnett of Winthrop; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Theodore J. "Ted" Burnett on August 3, 2023.

The family would also like to thank the staff at United Helpers in Lisbon for the kindness and compassion they showed to Lonnie for many years.
