Massena - Mr. Lynn Raymond Wright Jr., 78, passed away on October 6th, 2025, at the Massena Rehabilitation and Nursing Center - SNF.

Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Following Lynn's wishes there will be no public services locally and his family will honor his life privately at their convenience.

Born on January 2, 1947, in Potsdam, to the late Lynn Raymond and Nelda (LaPoint) Wright Sr., he spent his early years in Knapps Station, where he laid the foundation for a life filled with love, laughter, and hard work.

Lynn graduated from Norwood - Norfolk High School and shortly after served as a member of the US Air Force during the Vietnam War, a testament to his commitment to his country. After his service, he returned to civilian life.

Lynn was a dedicated truck driver for several companies throughout the North Country, and most recently for Enterprise. He enjoyed navigating the open roads with the same pride and diligence that he brought to everything he did.

He was married to Ellen Brauninger in January of 1975, who predeceased him.

A private person at heart, Lynn found joy in the little things. He loved singing and playing the harmonica, crafting beautiful resin pieces, and woodworking-skills that highlighted his creativity and craftsmanship. Lynn's good sense of humor was a hallmark of his character, bringing joy to those around him.

Lynn is survived by his life partner, Charlotte Clark of Massena; his daughters, Erin Smith of Norwood, Stacey Robinson of Middlesex, and Lacey Schilling (A. Cunningham) of Penn Yan; step children, Troy Sobolewski, Shanon Sobolewski, and Trina; six grandchildren, Corl Arthur (David Scholtisek), Cole Arthur, Logan Robinson, Brendon Schilling, Lauren Schilling; and three great granddaughters, Payten, Dixie, and Alliemae; and his sister, Mary Lynn "Mady" Baldwin.

For those wishing to express an act of kindness, memorial contributions can be made to the Massena Rod and Gun Club.
Rest in peace, Lynn. Your legacy of love, laughter, and creativity will live on in our hearts.
