Marie C. Kingsley

Nicholville - Marie C. Kingsley, 92, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Massena Memorial Hospital. Arrangements are entrusted with the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Marie was born on July 1, 1919 in Nicholville, daughter of the late Fred and Leona Russell Collins. She attended Nicholville Central and graduated from St. Regis Falls High School. In 1938, she married Wesley Kingsley, Jr. at the Methodist parsonage in Malone. They have shared a loving relationship for over 73 years. Marie's life was devoted to her family; those who know her have seen her love go beyond the family lines. She was a member of the Nicholville United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Nicholville and Brasher Falls. She is survived by her husband, Wesley; her daughter and son in law, Kay and Oliver "Butch" Peary of Nicholville; seven grandchildren, Jeanne Hazelton, Jamie McGraw, Michael McGraw, Lynne Kelley, Tina Buckley, Tobin Peary and Kelly Bazdaric; 13 Great Grandchildren. One daughter, Keitha McGraw, six siblings, Gene Collins, Lester Collins, Frances Loomis, Doris Fuller, Everett Collins and Eleanor Lucas, predeceased her. Her family will receive friends at the Hammill Funeral Home, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8; with a funeral service to be held Wednesday at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery in Nicholville. Those wishing to do so, please consider donations in her honor to the Nicholville Volunteer Fire Department or Tri Town Rescue Squad.
