Friends and Family are welcome to a Memorial Service for Nancy Lee (Rapp) Wilson, age 89 of Royal Palm Beach, Florida and formerly of Pittstown, New Jersey at 4:00 pm on August 18, 2023 at the Everittstown United Methodist Church, located at 415 County Route 513, Pittstown, NJ with Rev. David Ravinder officiating.  Immediately following the Memorial Service will be light refreshments served in the fellowship hall.       

Mrs. Wilson passed away Wednesday (August 9, 2023) at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family.

Nancy was born to the late Hazel (Gumph) and Frederick Rapp on January 19, 1934, in Easton, Pennsylvania.

She attended Frenchtown High School and continued her education at Churchman’s Business School.  She later married her high school sweetheart on November 14, 1953.    They were married 67 years until Roger’s sudden death in 2020. 

Nancy is survived by her devoted children, daughter Dawyn (Gary) Solarczyk of Upper Black Eddy, PA, and son Brett Wilson & companion Marianne Rosato of Little York, NJ, and son Eric Wilson of Jupiter, FL and daughter Tamara Wilson & companion Leo Thompson of Ogdensburg, NY.  Nancy is also survived by her grandchildren; Chanteal (Jay) Laughlin, Shayla Solarczyk, Ryder (Kelsey) Wilson, Cody (Taylor) Wilson, Hunter Wilson, Jennifer Wilson, Sadie Brown, Logan Wilson and Hazelee Wilson.  Nancy is also survived by five great-grandchildren; Holden, Griffin, Zeriah, Maverick and Wyatt.  She has two sisters; Patrice (Greg) Bailey of Lewes, DE and Jacqueline (Tim) Billy of Allentown, PA; along with many nieces, nephew and cousins.

Nancy was predeceased by her husband Roger Wilson, son Curt Wilson, and sister Gail Kless.

Nancy began her career in Milford, NJ at Riegel Paper Corp., in the accounting department.  After leaving Riegel Paper, she worked at a local bank, she was a camp counselor, waitressed at the Coach & Paddock, cared for children in her home all while taking care of five children of her own.  When Roger and Nancy moved to Florida, she worked as a nurse’s aid and took a position as a Nanny for the doctor’s children.  When she moved back to New Jersey, she finished her career as a Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aide.  She received many awards for accomplishments. In 1992, she received an award for her Outstanding Dedication and Compassionate Care of her Clients.   In 1993, she was recognized for her Outstanding Contribution to Child Abuse Prevention.  In 1995, she received Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aide of the Year.

She enjoyed shopping and more shopping, cooking, taking care of her grandchildren and she loved to collect dishes, napkins, tablecloths and glasses. She was a natural interior designer…when you walked into their home, you instantly felt a sense of warmth, love, comfort and welcoming.   During the holidays, she would decorate a table like a picture from a  cover of a magazine.  She also had a secret passion for orchids which she grew in her own backyard.
