Hopkinton - Patricia A. Kohl, a beloved wife, and mother, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026, at Canton Potsdam Hospital, at the age of 74. Born on November 1, 1951, in Latham, NY, Patricia is the daughter of the late John and Eleanor (Eacmen) Rockenstire. She brought warmth and love to all who knew her, traveling the United States with her husband while he was serving in the United States Coast Guard, and spending her later years in Hopkinton, NY.
A devout woman, Patricia found joy and purpose in her faith and in the service of her family. As a loving mother to her children and a devoted wife to her husband, Rick, she embodied the virtues of kindness, generosity, and unwavering support. Patricia was known for her exceptional culinary skills, often delighting her family with freshly baked bread rolls on Fridays and celebrating special occasions with homemade cakes that made each birthday and feast day feel extraordinary.
An avid lover of tulips and cats, Patricia had a unique ability to make every moment special, extending her love and care during family gatherings and church functions. She dedicated herself to embodying the teachings of God's word, guiding those around her with a strong moral compass and a compassionate spirit.
She is survived by her husband, Rick, her children, Regina Kohl, Gretchen (James) Strawser, Valerie Kohl, Conrad Kohl, Genevieve Kohl, Timothy (Stacie) Kohl and Pauline (Aaron) Meyerhoffer, a brother, Edward Rockenstire and her beloved grandchildren, Christopher Votilla, Andrew Votilla, Anastasia Votilla, Edward Votilla, Benedict Votilla, Zachary Strawser, Jennah Strawser, Nicholas Page, Ayden Page, Adam Kohl, Isaac Kohl, Evan Kohl, Chloe Kohl, Nolan Kohl, Athena Kohl, Arianna Meyerhoffer,Declan Meyerhoffer, Cedric Meyerhoffer, Logan Meyerhoffer, and Brooke Meyerhoffer.
A visitation will be held at St. Therese Church on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm, where family and friends can come together to honor Patricia's life and legacy. A High Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Budds, on Thursday at 11am. Patricia will be laid to rest in a peaceful burial at St. Therese Cemetery.
Her loving spirit will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
