Brasher Falls – Philip Harold Kennehan, 79, passed away, Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Massena Memorial Hospital. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Philip was born in Brasher Falls on August 16, 1934, son of the late Harold P. and Ellen Mary (Connolly) Kennehan. He was raised in Brasher Falls and a long-term resident. A marriage to Dolores Hart on June 17, 1961 ended in divorce. Philip was a licensed surveyor who worked over 30 years for the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation; retiring in June of 1995. He is survived by his two daughters - Debbie and David Koes of Niskayuna and Nancy Kennehan and her companion, David Bartlett of Henderson, NV, his brother – Rev. John Kennehan of St. Louis, MO, two sisters – Mary and Edgar Amyot of Hammond and Helen Stearns of Brasher Falls, one granddaughter, Kristina Koes and nephews Patrick Stearns, Michael Amyot and Jim Amyot. A Memorial Service celebrating Philip’s life will be held Sunday at 1pm at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop, with his brother, Rev. John Kennehan leading the service. His family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in Philip’s honor to the American Cancer Society, P. O.
