Phyllis Geneva LaPoint

Mrs Phyllis LaPoint, age 97, passed away on October 23, 2026.

Phyllis was raised on the family farm in Nicholville, NY. Her parents were Elvin and Violet Boulds. Phyllis married Douglass LaPoint of St Regis Falls, NY on June 3, 1950 in Nicholville Methodist Church.

Calling hour will be held Saturday, October 31 st, from 11:00AM to Noon at Hammill Funeral Home,146 County Route 5, St. Regis Falls, NY.

A short service will be held for Phyllis with Reverend Colon Smith officiating at Mound Hill Cemetery in Nicholville, New York.

Phyllis was a business woman at heart, and she and her husband Doug LaPoint, had a sales and service business for many years on Rt 37, just outside of Massena.
When they decided to sell the business, Phyllis got her real estate license and sold many farms in the area.

She was preceded in death by Douglass LaPoint, her husband, Elvin & Violet Boulds, her parents, as well as her two brothers, Hubert, & Elvin Boulds, Jr.
Phyllis is survived by her four sisters, JoAnn Drake, Carol Boulds, Clarice Mancini (married to Eugene Mancini); her two children - James LaPoint, and Jean LaPoint.
She has 3 grandchildren Eric, Ryan, and Liam O'Connor
And 4 Great Grandchildren. Julian, Vivienne, Aileen, and Enya.
