Chase Mills - With heavy hearts but joyful memories, we announce the passing of Robert J. Caldwell on September 14, 2025, at the age of 62. Born June 26, 1963, in Syracuse, Robert is the son of the late Robert John McDonald and Dorothy Day Caldwell. He married Susan M. Scott on July 25, 1998, at their home with a western wedding.
Robert's life was marked by a passion for his craft as a carpenter and woodworking, operating Bob's Construction, where he embraced every project with dedication and skill. Bob enjoyed working on old cars and trucks, and antique tractors and did chainsaw carving. He was known for his love of family and his ability to bring people together with his warm smile and infectious laughter. He is survived by his wife, Susan, his children, Darin J. Caldwell, Denise J. and Daniel Maslin, Kortnie I. and Michael Streeter, his grandchildren, Olivia and Tyler Caldwell, Tarren Caldwell, Trien Ashley and Matthew Streeter. He was predeceased by his son, Matthew N. Caldwell on March 9, 2008 and a grandson, Joseph. Also surviving are his siblings, Linda, Carol, Chandra, Robin, Rober, Blain Alan Wayne and Michael.
Join us in celebrating Robert's life at Knapp Station Community Church on September 20, 2025, with a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Before the service, there will be a visitation starting at 11:00 AM, allowing family and friends to share stories and honor the remarkable man he was.
