Brasher Falls – Robert A. Dwyer, 80, passed away peacefully Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Robert was born in Toledo, OH on March 11, 1933, son of the late Andrew Rodger and Florence Ida (Seifert) Dwyer. He entered the US Marine Corp in 1952, proudly serving during the Korean War. He married Diane L. Davis on April 12, 1958 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Syracuse. They shared 46 years of supportive love until Diane's passing on June 13, 2004. Bob worked at Clarkson University for 33 years as a Computer Technician and Electronics Specialist. He was active with the Boy Scouts for over 50 years. He was an outdoorsman, who loved to go fishing, camping and long rides through the Adirondacks. He would relax at home reading, listening to music and working on his computer. His favorite pastime was visiting with his good buddies; John and Ben, and any time spent with his family. He is survived by two children; Andrew and AnnaMarie Dwyer of Telford, PA and Erin and Terry Stone of North Lawrence; one sister, Dorothy Nolan of Camillus; five grandchildren, Kyle and Erika Stone, Kayla and Richard LaBier, Jr. Andrew Dwyer, Jr., Kristen Stone and Emily Dwyer; two great grandchildren, Elijah and Lily LaBier.
