Rosa Shatraw

Winthrop -Rosa Shatraw, 82, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Rosa was born in Bamberg, Germany on July 10, 1929. She married Darrel Shatraw on March 10, 1956 in Bamberg. Her joys in life were her family, whom she loved dearly. Rosa enjoyed time outside in her garden, with the help of her cats and relaxed sewing. She is survived by her husband of 56 years; their children Charles Edward Shatraw, Steven and Denise Shatraw of Winthrop and Margie Toves of Colorado Springs, CO; one sister, Barbara and Joe Doetzer of W. Palm Beach, FL; nine grandchildren, Marcus, Matthew, Kayla, Kassey, Dawson, Tanner, Julie, Leilani, and Gina; 12 great grandchildren. Her sister, Joanne Frisch, predeceased her. Visitation will be Saturday from 9 to 11 am, followed by her Funeral Service and Celebration of Life at the funeral home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Buckton.
