Dickinson Center - With heavy hearts and joyful memories, we announce the passing of Wayne B. Marsh, who left us peacefully on September 24, at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice, at the age of 71. Born on October 21, 1953, in Malone, Wayne is the son of the late Keith and Irene (Susice) Marsh. He graduated from St. Regis Falls High School in 1971. Wayne proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from September 16, 1971, to September 7, 1974. On January 20, 1973, he married Christine A. Trim, sharing a loving union for over 52 years. He worked in aluminum production at Reynolds/Alcoa for 32 years.
He was a true mountain man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, working in the forest, cutting his own firewood and building their home. He was a hobby carpenter, golfer and cook. He also enjoyed playing basketball, baseball and softball. He was
recently inducted into the National Semi-Pro Baseball Hall of Fame for the Northern Valley Baseball League.
Wayne was a dedicated family man, survived by his loving wife Christine, who stood by his side throughout their journey together. He will be forever remembered by his son, Brandon Marsh and his daughter-in-law, Stephanie Marsh of St. Regis Falls, as well as his daughter, Samantha Provost and son-in-law, Jarrad Provost of Virginia. His grandchildren, Roman and Renner Provost, brought him unmatched joy that enriched his days. Remaining in his memory are his siblings: Karen and Robert Hazen of Dickinson, Brian and Tammy Marsh of Dickinson, Bradford and Virginia Marsh of Dickinson, and Roxanne and Robert Leclerc of Malone and several Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation to honor Wayne's life will take place on October 3, 2025, at Hammill Funeral Home in St. Regis Falls, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to join us in sharing stories, laughter, and memories as we celebrate the remarkable journey Wayne walked during his time with us. A celebration of life will follow at the St. Regis Falls Sportsmen's Club.
