William Finnegan

Lawrenceville - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William A. Finnegan, a beloved husband, son, brother, and respected member of the community. Mr. Finnegan, born on July 16, 1965, in Worcester, MA, peacefully departed from this world on May 9, 2024, at the age of 58 at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center in Manhattan.

William was born in Worcester, MA, son of William F. and Jean H. Andersen. He married his best friend, Sharon Fobare on May 27, 2000. They shared a loving union for almost 23 years. Bill was a man who worked hard for a short time in Massachusetts at factories and moved to the North Country. He had a successful career as a Supervisor in the Tire Bay Department at BJ's Wholesale in Massena, NY for 16 years. His contributions and hard work have left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the many lives he touched. He was a member of the Lawrenceville Fire Department, enjoyed detailing cars, attending car shows and took pleasure in the scenery of the Adirondacks.

He leaves behind his dear wife, Sharon Finnegan, his loving mother, Jean Finnegan of Whitinsville, MA, his brother, John Finnegan of Woonsocket, RI, and his sister, Maureen Blair of Burlington, NC, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, William Finnegan and his sister-in-law, Lena Finnegan. The memories and legacy he leaves with his family and friends will forever be cherished and remembered.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public services. Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop

He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
