Winthrop - Mr. William Cline Hibbert, 77, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away in the comfort of his home on Tuesday March 24, 2026, with his wife and sons at his side.
Born October 28, 1948, in Syracuse, to the late Albert and Alda (Cline) Hibbert. He graduated from St. Lawrence Central high school.
On November 3, 1978, William married Karolee King at the Brasher Falls United Methodist Church.
William was a proud veteran of the United States NAVY, working as a boiler inspector, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of his fellow comrades. He carried the values of honor and integrity throughout his life. Bill became a resolute health and safety inspector for the NYS Department of Labor Division of Health and Safety. His commitment to his work reflected his unwavering sense of responsibility and care for others.
A man who found solace in nature, William cherished his time in the woods, nurturing a profound appreciation for the forests and trees that adorned his surroundings. He embraced the tranquility of the outdoors, often seeking refuge in its beauty.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Karolee and their two sons, Nathan Hibbert, and David Hibbert and his wife Amber; two grandsons, William, and Alexander Hibbert; siblings, Albert Hibbert Jr., Helen Moore, Bruce Hibbert, and Linda Weseman, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Arrangements are entrusted to Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop.
A memorial service will be held Friday April 17th 12:00 PM at the Brasher Falls United Methodist Church. William's family will receive visitors from beginning at 11:00 AM until the time of the service. His burial with Military Honors will follow at Winthrop Cemetery.
